OOTN

8/26/16

For today's post I wanted to keep it simple and share an OOTN with you all. I am currently pre writing this post because by the time you read this on Friday I will have moved into my sweet dorm. Which stay tuned because I have a very exciting post where I show you my whole moving process!

Since I am leaving for college I've been spending my summer with friends and family. Which means a ton of one on one time with my mother which I don't mind because we always end up having great days together. Tonight we decided to go out and have a pizza date. My town is very small and lacks variety in restaurants but the only upside to that is that the few italian restaurants we do have are actually great. They are all family owned and the food is delicious, well, you can probably tell from the photo below.

As far as my outfit goes, my grey top is from Romwe.com. They we kind enough to send me this top and I can't even describe how much I love it. The material is great, it's a perfect top to wear this summer and really all year long and it's so trendy. My light washed jeans are from J.crew and my sandals are from Franco Sarto. Oh, let's not forget about my current obsession: my purse. It's from the brand REED and I actually got it at Khol's. You can certainly make this outfit more edgy by substituting the sandals for heels and the light wash denim for dark.

GOVA Swimwear Collaboration

7/15/16

This is a collaboration I was very happy to be a part of because this brand represents something great for me. GOVA Swimwear is a Venezuelan brand, and for my new viewers who don't know, I was born and raised there for part of my childhood. For many of you that don't know sadly this beautiful country fell into a harsh dictatorship and has struggled financially and politically for the past 17 years. Therefore, when I first came in contact with this brand I became very happy to see all the talent that still remains in all the beautiful people of Venezuela. The talent and hope is still there for many who remain living there. That is why it's been a great privilege being able to sponsor and promote this swimwear.
In this case, it's really more than just the swimwear I'm promoting. It's the talent, hard work and dedication that people have when creating small businesses. With all that said, I hope you all check out their site and see all the different swimwear they offer which has been promoted on many different magazines. Check out their Instagram @GOVASwimwear and their site is linked there are well.

7/1/16

If you follow me on Instagram you would know that I have been working with a jewelry company called Les Collections. These ladies run an Instagram business (@lescollections) and just recently opened up their own website. This is now my second package I have received from them, if you're interested to see the first set of necklaces I got go stalk my Instagram @valramm (shameless promo).

I wanted to make this post to show them more appreciation than before. Even though I made countless Instagram posts featuring their jewelry, I feel as if their brand needs more awareness. A bit of background on the company, they are based out of Spain ( how cool?!?). They are bilingual and some of the nicest people I have worked with. All of their jewelry consists of small details. Where it's a small gem, an anchor or a starfish everything is well made. Did I mention all of their jewelry is handmade? And for all for all you 90s trend fashionistas, most of the necklaces are chokers.

Make sure you go follow them on their Instagram and show them some much deserved love.

Lace up shirt DYI

6/26/16

For about a year now this lace up trend is in literally every store possible. Now, I'm not 100% sure if LF Stores are the ones responsible for this trend but they are largely responsible for the social media presence wearing this trend. For a while I didn't like it, I got to admit, I thought it was too grungy for me. However, the more and more I saw it in stores and on celebrities and fellow models I realized it was such a cute way to make a simple outfit more interesting.

I looked into buying some of them and trying them out. In the end, if I didn't like itI just didn't have to wear it. Except the more and more I looked for them, the harder it was to find. I looked online and they were either extremely expensive for what they were or sold out. Then I stumbled a YouTube video. It was a girl explaining how to make the shirts for a third of the price. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find the video but if any of you want a step by step guide just send me a message and I will explain.
With that said, I put my crafting skills to work. I've never been the one to mess with clothing design or even decorating because I always thought I would mess it up. After finishing this shirt I was very surprised with myself.
Now what you all are probably wondering is how I actually made the shirt so here is the secret:
It's actually a 'recycled' shirt bought from Savers cut up and transformed to the pictures below.

So there it is, it's a super simple DYI which I have actually tried out a couple of different styles on different shirts and they all look so unique. As far as materials go, you're going to have to make a trip to your local Michael's or Joann fabrics. You'll need fabric glue, shoe laces, and rolls of fabric. The fabric patterns and colors are all up to you. Although I do recommend that you get solid colors, such as white, black, and navy. Only because when you go pick up some shirts to DYI you'll want the fabric to compliment the shirt not contrast it.

Skin Aura Review

6/23/16

Since the whole detox trend became popular, the one product I always wanted to try out were the coffee scrubs. So many companies have found great business making coffee scrubs such as Frank Body who was one of the first companies to really bring the idea of coffee scrubs to the table. Lush is also a large company who uses natural ingredients to create their products. Skin Aura is a new company who got into the coffee scrub business as well. I was lucky enough to be contacted by them to try out their product.

On their site they actually only have 3 types of scrubs. There is 'The Original', 'Green Tea', and 'Coco Baby'. I personally picked out Coco Baby because the scrub reduces the appearance of stretch marks, cellulite, acne scars, and redness.
I want to be as honest as possible with this review because if you're like me and have sensitive skin you really keep an eye out for the good and the bad. Let me tell you, this product is nothing but good. Not only is it soft and sturdy but the smell is fantastic. As soon as you open the packaging the fresh smell of brewed coffee surrounds you. Unfortunately, I do have to break it to all of you, it is pretty messy. At least for a first timer like me, I made a mess all over my bathroom. Just keep in mind not to grab too much product out of the bag and you'll be fine.

If you're interested in checking out their products go on their site:

I also can't forget the most important thing, PRICE! If you're like me and you've been wanting to try out the scrub for a while you'll know that there are so many different prices and package sizes that you really can't decide. But at Skin Aura it's only $17.99 for a quite large package that will last you a long time. Make sure to use valentina10 for a 10% discount on your total purchase (:

Make sure you go follow them on instagram @skin.aura and show them some love.
