TV Appearance CT Style

6/29/16

For almost a year and a half you all know that I was signed as a model in my state as well as New York. Luckily June 8th I was able to appear on a famous tv station in my state. I was asked to model along side a fellow model who is known in the business as well. We were modeling on CT Style on News8 for some boutiques who we would feature later that Saturday at a Fashion Show.
I wanted to share with you all this experience because I'm so thankful and still astonished that this actually happening. I still can't believe it happened even after I watch the behind the scene clips I have. I'm sure that if you want to watch the full segment you can go on http://www.wtnh.com/ctstyle and then look for either me or 'fashion show preview'.

I got to model with beautiful white and gold mini dress from Joseph Ribkoff and accessories from a boutique called Idiom.

The first clip above is behind the scenes look from the control room and the second clip I recorded while I saw the segment live on my TV ( and yes I was very giddy). I can't wait to see the many more opportunities that will arise just like this one and I can't wait to share it with you all. Stay tuned for a post all about the Fashion Show that we were promoting.

FOOD GUIDE // NYC

6/27/16

I Constantly get asked by friends and family where I like to go in the city. While I'm no expert myself I do consider myself a bit of a pro when it comes to dinning options in the big apple.

One of my ultimate favorite places to go is John's Pizza. It's located right on Times Square and it's certainly one of the many famous restaurants in the city. As a person who goes there constantly I do have to recommend to make a reservation. Unless you want to wait in the line of tourist for almost an hour.

One of my most recent discoveries was Le Pain Quotidien. This restaurant is located near Grand Central but there are a few others spread throughout the city. I highly recommend going here if you are looking for a place to hang out and chill. They have a variety of items on the menu from soups and sandwiches but also a variety of pastries and of course coffee.

Of course I have to incorporate my outfit into this post. With that said, I was wearing a navy Betsy Johnson dress which you can barely see because my scarf is so big. I actually picked up this blanket scarf at H&M during the winter and occasionally wear it when it's chilly out. My sandals are from Franco Sarto, rings from @PinealVisionJewelry and sunnies from Mirina Collections.
I will continue to add to this Food Guide for all of you who love to travel and would like to branch out if you're ever in NYC.

Lace up shirt DYI

6/26/16

For about a year now this lace up trend is in literally every store possible. Now, I'm not 100% sure if LF Stores are the ones responsible for this trend but they are largely responsible for the social media presence wearing this trend. For a while I didn't like it, I got to admit, I thought it was too grungy for me. However, the more and more I saw it in stores and on celebrities and fellow models I realized it was such a cute way to make a simple outfit more interesting.

I looked into buying some of them and trying them out. In the end, if I didn't like itI just didn't have to wear it. Except the more and more I looked for them, the harder it was to find. I looked online and they were either extremely expensive for what they were or sold out. Then I stumbled a YouTube video. It was a girl explaining how to make the shirts for a third of the price. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find the video but if any of you want a step by step guide just send me a message and I will explain.
With that said, I put my crafting skills to work. I've never been the one to mess with clothing design or even decorating because I always thought I would mess it up. After finishing this shirt I was very surprised with myself.
Now what you all are probably wondering is how I actually made the shirt so here is the secret:
It's actually a 'recycled' shirt bought from Savers cut up and transformed to the pictures below.

So there it is, it's a super simple DYI which I have actually tried out a couple of different styles on different shirts and they all look so unique. As far as materials go, you're going to have to make a trip to your local Michael's or Joann fabrics. You'll need fabric glue, shoe laces, and rolls of fabric. The fabric patterns and colors are all up to you. Although I do recommend that you get solid colors, such as white, black, and navy. Only because when you go pick up some shirts to DYI you'll want the fabric to compliment the shirt not contrast it.

Mexico 2016

6/24/16

(hat: forever 21,white sandals: charlotte russe, black wedges: MIA, bandeau: brandy melville, shorts and top: charlotte russe, swimsuit: zaful)

After being able to organize all my photos and make albums I realized that I didn't get to share my spring break trip with you all so here it is! I was very excited and thankful to have gone to Mexico for a whole week. Therefore, what I decided to do for this post is an outfits of the week for you all. Since it is summer and many of you are traveling here is some inspiration on what to pack, wear and even buy.

I was really lucky that most of the bathing suits I wore on this trip were sent to me by companies so I took advantage of the weather and scenery and snapped a couple of pictures. The pink bathing suit above is from Zaful.com, I got in a medium for top and bottom and both are true to size and very comfortable.
(All sunglasses are from Mirina Collections)

This was the first day hanging out around the resort and later my dinner outfit as well. I was pretty burnt from the sun so I opted for very soft clothing. My top is a baby pink off the shoulder shirt from Shein.com, shorts and sandals are from Charlotte Russe.

This was taken on the second day, my bathing suit is a Kiini bikini paired with Mirina Collections sunnies.

Third day (if i'm not wrong) we ventured out to go see Chichen Itza which is one of the 7 wonders of the world.
I decided to wear mostly comfortable clothes because there was a lot of walking involved. So I paired a sporty tank with shorts and my hat from Forever 21.

On the fourth day my mother and I ventured out to a secluded island about 50 minutes from Cancun and spent the entire day there. I wore my black Frankie's Bikini in the style 'Poppy'. This bathing suit was so comfortable especially while doing different activities, I was able to snorkel and walk around the island in the one piece comfortably.

Can't forget about all the jewelry I brought with me. I tried to keep it small with only a few pieces that I could wear multiple times and it worked out well. The silver choker, gold ring are from @Ultimatezen on Instagram. The purple chocker and gold choker are both from @LesCollections on Instagram and the three silver rings above on the right are from @pinealvisionjewelry.

Skin Aura Review

6/23/16

Since the whole detox trend became popular, the one product I always wanted to try out were the coffee scrubs. So many companies have found great business making coffee scrubs such as Frank Body who was one of the first companies to really bring the idea of coffee scrubs to the table. Lush is also a large company who uses natural ingredients to create their products. Skin Aura is a new company who got into the coffee scrub business as well. I was lucky enough to be contacted by them to try out their product.

On their site they actually only have 3 types of scrubs. There is 'The Original', 'Green Tea', and 'Coco Baby'. I personally picked out Coco Baby because the scrub reduces the appearance of stretch marks, cellulite, acne scars, and redness.
I want to be as honest as possible with this review because if you're like me and have sensitive skin you really keep an eye out for the good and the bad. Let me tell you, this product is nothing but good. Not only is it soft and sturdy but the smell is fantastic. As soon as you open the packaging the fresh smell of brewed coffee surrounds you. Unfortunately, I do have to break it to all of you, it is pretty messy. At least for a first timer like me, I made a mess all over my bathroom. Just keep in mind not to grab too much product out of the bag and you'll be fine.

If you're interested in checking out their products go on their site:

I also can't forget the most important thing, PRICE! If you're like me and you've been wanting to try out the scrub for a while you'll know that there are so many different prices and package sizes that you really can't decide. But at Skin Aura it's only $17.99 for a quite large package that will last you a long time. Make sure to use valentina10 for a 10% discount on your total purchase (:

Make sure you go follow them on instagram @skin.aura and show them some love.
